Inspired by the sculptural form of a blooming flower, this artistic newborn prop combines a large felted flower cocoon with a coordinating miniature flower bonnet. Together they create an enchanting composition for fine art, botanical, woodland, fairy-tale and nature-inspired newborn photography.
Hand-Felted from Wool
Both the cocoon and matching flower bonnet are entirely hand-felted from wool.
The subtle transitions between pink, green and natural botanical tones, the sculptural flower shape and the organic surface texture are created individually by hand. No two pieces will ever be completely identical – each one has its own character.
Two Ways to Style
The flower cocoon offers photographers two different styling possibilities.
It can be placed directly on a photography backdrop or floor as a sculptural newborn posing vessel, or incorporated into a suspended flower styling.
The hanging construction has been tested to support approximately 6-8 kg.
Important: Suspended newborn photography should only be carried out by an experienced professional using appropriate newborn photography safety procedures. The baby must be properly supported and supervised at all times.
